Most agencies refuse to publish pricing. There's a reason for that — and it's not the one they tell you.

The standard line is that “every project is different,” that pricing can't be standardized. And that's partly true. But the deeper truth is that opaque pricing gives agencies leverage. When you don't know what something should cost, you can't evaluate what's being quoted. Information asymmetry favors the seller. We've chosen the opposite.

We publish our investment ranges because we believe transparency is the first act of trust — and trust is the foundation this entire relationship is built on. You'll notice these aren't single numbers. They're ranges, because scope genuinely varies. A focused brand positioning sprint and a comprehensive identity system with naming, visual language, and launch strategy are fundamentally different bodies of work.

We also work across geographies that make flat-rate pricing dishonest. We work with founders building in Lagos, Nairobi, Accra, and Kigali. We know that brand investment math is different in Lagos than in London. A $28,000 identity system represents a fundamentally different commitment for a Nairobi-based startup than for a Series A company in San Francisco. We don't pretend otherwise.

Our published rates are anchored to the senior craft we deliver — the strategic rigor, the design quality, the depth of thinking. These don't change based on geography. What flexes is scope. For African in-market founders, we have honest conversations about what's possible at each stage of growth. Sometimes that means a focused strategy engagement instead of a full identity system. Sometimes it means phasing a project across quarters. Sometimes it means a tighter deliverable set that gets the essentials right without the applications suite.

This isn't discounting. It's scoping honestly.

We've shipped work for clients across the full spectrum — from pre-revenue founders in Lagos to multi-market diaspora brands with offices in three cities. The quality is the same. The strategic rigor is the same. The difference is in the scope of the engagement, not the caliber of the work.

We also know that some of the most consequential brand work happening today is coming from the continent. Founders here are building financial infrastructure, health platforms, agricultural systems, and consumer brands that will define the next twenty years. The idea that this work deserves less rigorous branding than a DTC startup in Brooklyn is one we reject entirely.

Not every brand is ready for a $2,500+ engagement — and that's not a character judgment, it's a stage-of-business reality. We've seen founders waste months trying to force a premium engagement they couldn't sustain, when they'd have been better served by a strong freelancer and a clear brief. The honest move is sometimes to start smaller, validate harder, and invest in identity work when the business can support it.

For logos and visual identity only

The freelance markets in Lagos, Nairobi, and Cairo have senior designers doing excellent work in the $400–$1,800 range. If you want names, ask us — we keep a referral list of designers we respect and recommend without hesitation.

We offer a 90-minute paid consultation ($350) designed to give you senior-level thinking on positioning, messaging, or creative direction without the full engagement commitment. One session, focused output, clear next steps.

Tools like Figma, Canva, and Looka can get you through pre-product-market-fit. They're not substitutes for real brand work, but they'll serve until you're ready for the real investment. Come back when the business can sustain it.
